Third XBOX 360 Red Ring of Death I fixed

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clearly someone tried before but it was shoddy

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The old thermal paste had to be removed

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cleaned of most of the thermal paste

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New screws and washers. These are the right ones much shorter

 

 

 

 

 

GPG and CPU cleaned to a mirror finish

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Applied new thermal paste to heat sinks, CPU and GPU

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Placed heat sinks on GPU and CPU with an additional mod for a more efficient cooling

 

 

 

 

 

Powered the unit up with the fans disconnected still showing the Red Rind of Death

 

 

 

 

 

 

Four minutes later the system is done RROD is gone!

Tilt LCD repair

I did a repair on my HTC Kaiser "Tilt" which cracked somehow. Got the parts I needed dirt cheap on e-bay and did the fix myself:

Here is a small project I did to a Crown Victoria for better air flow as the stock seem restrictive. Many may agree and disagree that this really wont make much of a difference and they may be right but after the mod, the car sounded meaner sort of like a mustand and the owner say he noticed better gas milage.

This is my first post on here to initiate my blog. My goal or purpose on this blog is to post random things such as projects or things that I do. Whether it be working on my car or repairing a computer or some electronic device I will just post it on here and maybe it can also help someone trying to accomplish the same task or project.
