Clearly someone tried before but it was shoddy
The old thermal paste had to be removed
Cleaned of most of the thermal paste
New screws and washers. These are the right ones much shorter
GPG and CPU cleaned to a mirror finish
Applied new thermal paste to heat sinks, CPU and GPU
Placed heat sinks on GPU and CPU with an additional mod for a more efficient cooling
Powered the unit up with the fans disconnected still showing the Red Rind of Death
Four minutes later the system is done RROD is gone!
